You can talk yourself into almost anything. For years, I called my ambition a choice. But what you can’t talk yourself into is a quickened pulse. So I stopped deciding what I should want and started noticing what makes my heart race before I can explain why. Pulse by pulse, my ambitions reveal themselves, including ones I never knew I had. My priority is to place myself where my pulse still races after the novelty wears off.

The realizations I value most are the ones that travel. They begin with one problem, then quietly reach beyond it, revealing a pattern no single instance could show. But ideas rarely travel that far on their own. They gain range by meeting other ideas and perspectives. One insight reframes another, and partial views come together until a larger structure appears. I strive to work in much the same way: moving across contexts, tracing what connects them, and bringing people and ideas into contact. What moves me is the moment an underlying abstraction becomes more than an answer to one question and begins to travel from one mind to another, gathering meaning and consequence as it goes.

I do what I do because I aspire to make sense of myself and leave something meaningful behind. Everything I think circles the same questions: what matters, who I’m becoming, and whether my contributions are positive. Beneath it all, I want to understand, to be understood, and to know that my time here mattered.
